Guest Artist - Artist in Residence

værksted \ NÆSTVED - Print Studio for Artists offers the posibility for artists to
be guest artist /artist in residence at the workshop.
Founded in 1988. Run by member artists with a board of 5 persons. Financially supported by
the Danish Ministry of Culture through the town of Naestved.
Working facilities: Lithography (stone), intaglio / etching, photogravure, relief printing
/ lino & wood cut, computer inkjet prints.
The workshop is small - only about 70 square meters - and it is difficult for more
than two artists to work at the same time. Accomodation facilities: One-room small bedroom
with access to bath and fully equipped kitchen.
The workshop is situated at the old, former Groennegade military buildings - now a
Cultural Centre - in the very center of the provincial town Naestved in the Southeastern
part of Zealand.
There is no application form. The board decides on the basis of samples of the artist's
work.
The workshop do not give
grants/financial support to guest artists and artists in recidence. If accepted by tth
board you will get an official invitation which you might use to apply for grants in your
own country.
Acommodation facilities and use of workshop facilities is free, but the artist must pay
for the printing material and supplies used and also the normal membership fee (p.t. 150
Danish kr for one year). There will be a "master prnter" to help you and to
introduce you to new techniques.
